The 8tracks, Sounds of Lewisville’s People’s Choice Winner, Kicks Off The 2026 Music Series’ First Concert on Tuesday, May 5th, 7-9:30 P.M.
Independent recording artists THE 8TRACKS, Texas’s preeminent arena rock band, have won the 2025 Sounds of Lewisville fan vote. The People’s Choice Award* winner is set to kick off the free, family-friendly concert series on the main stage at Wayne Ferguson Plaza in Lewisville, Texas, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., featuring headliner The 8tracks and opening act Hyndesight, DFW’s premiere Pretenders tribute.
In 2025, The 8tracks performed alongside show opener American Idol Kate Watson at the Sounds of Lewisville’s RED WHITE & LEWISVILLE season finale, entertaining more than 7,000 fans. By popular vote, The 8tracks were named the People’s Choice Award winner. “This year will be even more special when we return to celebrate as the People’s Choice fan favorite,” said The 8tracks band members. “We invite everyone to join in this magical musical experience and enjoy great music, food trucks, dancing, and singing along with friends and family to their favorite rock tunes!”
The 8tracks band recently released a new album titled "Keepin’ It Real,” an homage to the Icons of Rock. The “Keepin’ It Real” tour captures the essence of a culture-shaping, timeless era of rock music that continues to make a lasting impression and resonate across generations. The band’s crowd-pleasing raw energy, electrifying genre-bending anthems, crushingly authentic instrumentals, and powerfully stunning vocals transcend time. The 8tracks’ award-winning lineup includes lead vocalist Vanessa Todora Crixell, lead guitarists David Hospodka and Jeff Borgman, drummer Bobby Luna, keyboardist Ross Townsley, and bassist James Crixell.
The Sounds of Lewisville’s People’s Choice Awards, sponsored by Blackall Photography, began in 1991. Recent winners have included Just Like Pink (2024), The Elton Johns (2023), Ashmore (2022), and Jessica McVey (2021).
