The 5to8s is a groove collective consisting of some of the baddest musicians, singers and rappers in the Copenhagen and Malmø area. The band has been going strong in Copenhagen for the last 10+ years with residencies at Ideal bar (Vega), Barbarella Cocktail bar, and Café Mandela in the heart of Copenhagen.
The sound is Urban (Hiphop, Soul/Neo-soul Reggae, G-funk/Funk and Pop) playing a mix of original material, covers or just creating on the spot. The 5to8s are always in funk mode adding a unique flavour to whatever they touch.
The goal is too take the listener on a musical voyage, through improvisation, playful freestyle raps and soulful vocals. Add a bit of playful interaction with the crowd, a low-key vibe, and you have that all encompassing atmosphere that makes a 5to8s live session so unique.
