A speaker of the 45th Talks on the Planet is Mr. Rydll Pegarido with Philippines‘ background. Actually he was born and raised in Tokyo.
Now he is a student in Kyushu University and kindly be the speaker. Thank you, Mr. Kawabe for arranging the speaker this time!
The theme will be: Aspects of worldwide religions and philosophies that match with Japanese Culture.
How Japan can further adapt to the world
Here’s the profile of Rydll-san.
I was born and raised in Tokyo, and my parents are Filipino. I attended an international school from kindergarten through high school. During high school, I explored a wide range of hobbies, including table tennis, composing music, and playing various musical instruments such as drums, guitar, and piano. For university, I moved to Fukuoka and enrolled in the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation at Kyushu University. While studying there, I gained experience in the education field through activities such as the “Mirai Sozo Camp – On Your Mark” program and serving as President of the Fukuoka International Students Association. For my graduation thesis, I wrote about behavioral psychology. In the future, I hope to pursue a career related to behavioral psychology in fields such as education, human resources, or tourism.
第45回Talks on the Planetのスピーカーは、フィリピンのライデル・ペガリドさん。でもライデルさんは東京で生まれて育ちました。フィリピンの血が流れながら日本で育ったライデルさんならではの視点から話していただきます。
ライデルさんのプロフィール：
東京生まれ育ち、親はフィリピン人、幼稚園から高校までインターナショナルスクール、高校の時は色んな趣味: 卓球、作曲、色んな楽器(ドラム、ギター、ピアノなど)をしました。大学は福岡へ移動、九州大学の共創学部に入学して、教育業界の経験(未来創造キャンプOn Your Mark、福岡県留学生会の会長など)をして、卒論は行動心理学について書きました。将来、教育、人材、ツーリズムなどの行動心理学に関わっている仕事をしたいと思います。

テーマ：日本文化と共鳴する世界各国の宗教・哲学,また日本は世界にどう受け入れられるべきか
