The annual Gridiron Show is an iconic Washington event! Journalists skewer politicians and media to the tune of some of your favorite songs!
About this Event

Prepare for a much-needed dose of comedic relief as this enjoyable production weaves together sharp political satire and your most beloved show tunes.

We are offering an opportunity to experience an iconic Washington event – the annual Gridiron Show. The show that merges political satire with your favorite tunes, performed by the nation’s top political journalists, has been a Washington tradition since 1885!

The Gridiron Club and Foundation skewers Presidents and congressional leaders, political candidates and journalists at a white-tie dinner on Saturday night with satire and songs. The next day, the club puts on another performance – known as the Gridiron Sunday reprise - for friends, family and select groups.

The 2024 Reprise will be held on Sunday, March 17, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel at 1000 H Street NW in downtown Washington. A reception, which includes an open bar with beer, wine and soft drinks, begins at 2 p.m. and the show starts at 3 p.m. The program will end by 5 p.m.

Tickets are $75 each, plus the EventBrite fee of $6.88. (About $54 of the price is tax deductible because the Gridiron Club and Foundation is a charitable organization!)

You will see well-known Gridiron members -- who might include Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune, Jonathan Karl of ABC News, Andrea Mitchell of NBC and Judy Woodruff of PBS -- performing songs and skits in costume.

Highlights of the speeches that were delivered the night before, which typically include remarks by the President and a leading Democrat and leading Republican, will be relayed to the Sunday audience. Running the musical performance is the director of the President’s Own, the United States Marine Band, Lt. Col. Ryan Nowlin, the Club's musical director.

We love the show and we think you will too!
