Friday, April 24th
The Schmidt Boca History Museum & Boca Raton Historical Society
Join Florida historian Dr. Roger Smith for the first of four illuminating talks exploring Florida’s often-overlooked role in the Revolutionary War.
In this opening lecture, Dr. Smith analyzes newly recovered military and economic evidence that sheds fresh light on British Florida’s strategic importance. Long before 1780, the colony played a critical role in supplying, supporting, and shaping the needs of both sides in the conflict.
Discover how British Florida influenced the war’s trajectory in ways rarely discussed in traditional narratives — and why this region mattered far earlier and more deeply than previously understood.
