Male Voices in Eating Disorder Care: A Multidisciplinary Clinical Dialogue
About this Event

Title:
Male Voices in Eating Disorder Care: A Multidisciplinary Clinical Dialogue

In person CE event

Event description;

Eating disorders affect individuals of all genders, yet the clinical field devoted to their treatment has historically been predominantly female. This multidisciplinary panel brings together male clinicians from psychotherapy, psychiatry, and exercise science to discuss their experiences providing eating disorder care within this context. Panelists will explore how provider gender may shape clinical interactions, treatment engagement, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. The discussion will also address common misconceptions about eating disorders across genders, barriers to identification and treatment for men and boys, and the value of diverse perspectives in clinical practice. This panel aims to broaden the dialogue and offer insights that support inclusive, effective eating disorder treatment
