Free event.Kindred Trees Poetry Reading in Tree Week.
This is the fifth year that the Kindred Trees project has asked a group of local poets to write a poem in response to a local tree. (Check out previous years' poems at kindredtrees.com.au.) This event is about the celebration and contemplation of trees through poetry. This year join Marissa McDowell, Sara Bell, Owen Bullock, Jacinta Zander, and Merri Andrew, who will perform their poems and reflect on their special trees, along with Dylan Jones' superb photography.
We also have a tree themed open mic on the night; each open mic poet has three minutes, sign up on the night. So get writing about a favourite tree, or trees, or forest, or bring along a poem you love about trees. See you then!
