Let's have fun and learn how to make Thanksgiving pies from scratch, including double-crusted apple pie and sweet potato hand pies.
About this Event

Fall into the season with a homemade pie. In this fun interactive online class, you’ll learn a technique for making a pie crust from scratch and we’ll use 100% butter. The class will include the following steps:

- We’ll start the class with making the pie crust from scratch.

- We’ll prepare the apple pie fillings.

- We’ll craft the double crust and assemble the apple pie.

- While the apple pie is baking, we’ll use the leftover crust to make hand pies.

- We’ll assemble hand pies and bake.

While the hand pies are baking, we will talk about how to store and keep the pie for Thanksgiving.

Class schedule: Saturday, November 16 from 4-6pm Eastern Time Zone. Please check the time on the Eventbrite as the Eventbrite time shows your actual local time zone. This class will be online via Zoom. The class will not be recorded. The price is per screen.

We'll send out an ingredient and equipment list 14 days before the class starts. We will send out a complete recipe packet and a Zoom link 6 days before the class starts. No refund will be given after the recipe is sent out.

Who Teaches the Class?

Ploy Khunisorn

Ploy Khunisorn is a native of Thailand. She completed the Thai culinary certificate program at Suan Dusit International Culinary School, the sushi program at Tokyo Sushi Academy, the cheese and pastry arts programs at Boston University, and the plant-based patisserie program at Le Cordon Bleu. She is also a certified tea master from the International Tea Masters Association. She started teaching cooking classes in 2014. Having traveled to over 50 countries, she has enjoyed and learned to cook a variety of cuisines around the world. In her 10+ years of teaching experience, Ploy has taught over 7,000 students to learn how to cook and make delicious food and pastries.
