You’ve seen them for sale in bakeries or on platters at parties and were blown away by the beauty. A stunning cookie so pretty you almost don’t want to eat it. You’ve wondered, how do they do that? Can I do that? Well now you can! Bring a baking bestie and your favorite beverage and join instructor Cindy Wolff as you learn to decorate beautiful sugar cookies with royal icing! Participants will decorate at least five cookies using different royal icing consistencies. They then will be able to put on their creative hats utilizing those skills to decorate a few more cookies of their very own design. This workshop will discuss basic flooding and detail techniques to create colorful, impressive, statement cookies. Students will take home their finished cookies, a scribe decorating tool, Cindy's sugar cookie and royal icing recipes, and a baking goody bag including sprinkles and a cookie cutter.
This workshop is $50 per person for ages 10 and over.
All cookies, icing, and decorating supplies will be provided, but you may choose to bring an apron and a platter or dish to transport your cookies home. The icing will still be wet, so a 13 x 9 dish or pan is ideal.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the farm and pre-registration is required. Tickets are available for purchase up until 48 hours prior or until sold out.
Please direct any workshop related questions to Cindy at 517-204-0499 or [email protected].

About the Instructor
As a lifelong math instructor, Cindy didn’t consider herself much of a creative or artistic person. However, during Covid quarantine, Cindy was searching for a hobby (other than eating and shopping) and found cookie decorating intriguing. After watching several YouTube videos, searching, and finding in person and virtual lessons, and making and decorating many dozens of cookies, Cindy realized she had a talent for creating edible pieces of art. June 2020 presented Cindy with an opportunity to retire after 30+ years as a public-school teacher. At that time, she and her husband made Boyne City their permanent home and she continued to bake and decorate for friends and family. She made the Instagram account @c_isforcookies56 to document her creations and progress. Over time, the word of her cookies spread, and she is now busy baking, creating, and teaching all things cookies.
