About this Event
As part of The Lanesborough's 2024 programme of wine dinners hosted in partnership with esteemed winemakers from the UK and Europe, we are delighted to announce the Tenuta Tignanello Estate Wine Dinner.
The Tenuta Tignanello Estate is in the heart of Chianti Classico (Tuscany, Italy), in the gently rolling hillsides between the Greve and Pesa river valleys. The estate's two signature wines, Solaia and Tignanello, are produced from these vineyards and have been defined by the international press as “among the most influential wines in the history of Italian viticulture”.
The event will be hosted by Allegra Antinori, one of the three daughters of Marchese Piero Antinori, who runs the estate for the 25th generation of the family, and The Lanesborough's Head Sommelier, Raffaele Leonardo Silvestre. The Antinori family has been committed to the art of winemaking for over six centuries, since the year 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri, the Florentine Winemaker’s Guild.
During the event, hosted within one of the luxury hotel's unique private dining spaces, guests will taste three different vintages of Tignanello wine and one vintage of Solaia wine, the two iconic wines of Tenuta Tignanello, as part of a four-course menu of modern British dishes by Executive Chef, Shay Cooper.
