About the Event: Join us this July for Tending the Roots with trainer, Dr. Joseph Fantigrossi
This training helps us understand how toxic stress and trauma affect us.
We will learn the connection between racism, our environments, and tough experiences. This training covers information about wellness, resilience, and adopting trauma-informed approaches. We want everyone to have the knowledge and tools to create safe and supportive spaces.
Good to Know: Training will run from 9 AM to 4 PM, with a 45-minute lunch break. Space is limited to 25 attendees.
About The Trainer: Dr. Joseph Fantigrossi has 28 years of experience in K–12 education as a teacher, administrator, and systems leader. He is currently the Regional Community Schools Coordinator at Monroe 2–Orleans BOCES and Director of the Community Schools Coalition in Monroe County, NY. Dr. Fantigrossi has presented nationally on trauma-informed instruction, community schools, and tiered interventions, consulted with over 40 districts, and led multiple state and federal grants focused on school-based mental health and safety.
