SibTeen from Traveling Turtle Sibshops a division of Reinforcing Wishes LLC is an online support for siblings of a medically fragile or special needs sibling. This online support option for teens provide a safe and entertaining space to connect with other teens across the country.
Let's introduce you to Emily your Sibshop Certified Trainer. Emily found sibshops for her youngest daughter who was struggling to understand how Autism was effecting her big brother. As a parent she really enjoyed seeing this option in the community. Unfortunately it wasn't a constant option for her daughter. Now as a professional with a thriving caregiving support agency she is now able to add this as a virtual service and to be planning of in person workshops coming Summer of 2025!
Emily has personal views on growing up in a family where a sibling needed special medical attention and care. Emily has raised two neurodivergent children who are now young adults. Professionally has traveled the country speaking about supporting families in crisis. She has worked in the mental health arena for over 20 years and is excited to be an educator and advocate for the community.
This meet and greet will be for all ages! We will break off into two separate groups ages 13-15 and ages 16-18. for our biweekly meetings.Your $15 registration fee will get entrance into our Meet & Greet on January 1st and two workshops in January.
Meet & Greet is January 1st! Ages 13-15 will be from 11am to 12pm cst and Ages 16-18 will be from 12pm to 1pm cst. (19 year old students may attend if they are still in their senior year of high school.)
January 12th and 26th, ages 13-15 will be from 4pm to 5pm cst and 16-18 will be 530pm to 630pm. Parents are welcome to schedule a one on one virtual meeting with the facilitator if they have any questions or concerns through the registration process.
