About this Event
Your words matter. Let them be heard.
Are you a high school student who loves creative writing? Join the Sandlapper Singers for a workshop featuring published authors and professional educators ready to help bring your writing to life.
During this half-day experience, students will create their own myths, hymns, and poetry based on prompts exploring themes like liberation/resistance, family stories, praise songs, and personal narratives. Attendees can also sign up for one on one time with an instrumentalist to connect their hymn lyrics with music.
Build your skills, your confidence, your voice, and see your words come to life on stage. Selected pieces will be featured at the 2026 Sandlapper Singers spring concert. Finalists will be notified by March 7, 2026.
