The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Technology Acquisition Center (TAC) Information will be hosting an Information Technology Advanced Planning Brief to Industry (IT APBI) hybrid event on June 17, 2026 , from 8:30am to 4:30 pm at Dewberry Hall, George Mason University. The event shall also be live streamed.
The purpose of the APBI is to offer informative briefing sessions addressing Agency acquisition and IT transformation initiatives and objectives. Several briefing sessions with VA leadership, including but not limited to, Mr. Phillip Christy, Chief Acquisition Officer and Principal Executive Director, Office of Acquisition, Logistics and Construction; Mr. Zachary Schwartz, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information and Technology; Ms. Chanel Bankston-Carter, Executive Director, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization will be presented.

Cost & Registration:
There is no cost to attend this event; however, pre-registration is required. There are two registration types In-person and Live Stream:
In-Person ticket registration will be done using Eventbrite.
Live Stream Registration For those who can not travel or members of your team that are in excess of the 2 attendee In-Person limit proceed to the Live Stream Registration link here: Web X Registration
While we require pre-registration for the live video stream, there is no per-company limit on registrations.
Presentation of email confirmation will be required at check-in. In-person registration is limited to two(2) attendees per company for the event, accepted on a first come- first served basis until capacity is reached. There is only one ticket per participant being offered for this event.
Final date/time for in-person registration will be 5:00 PM EST Friday, June 12, 2026.
IMPORTANT be sure and fully complete each order form with all required information for EACH attendee. After you select the number of tickets even though Eventbrite advances you to the next screen and states “order processed” you must fill in the required information to complete the order and receive the order confirmation, which is required for entrance.
Parking for this event will utilize the Shenandoah Parking Deck. Please note there is a parking fee associated with Shenandoah Parking Deck (Parking Services - Parking and Transportation - George Mason University).
Additional information will be made available at https://www.voa.va.gov, under Advanced Planning Brief to Industry 2026. Event agenda and FY27 contracting opportunities will be posted under the APBI Library prior to the event. The registration list, briefing charts and recording from the event will be posted within a week following the event.
This event will be videotaped. Registration constitutes your consent and release for public viewing.
