10-Hour Continuing Education | Two-Day WorkshopThis two-day continuing education workshop is designed for yoga teachers who want to confidently meet students where they are—across bodies, abilities, nervous systems, and life circumstances. Rooted in trauma-sensitive teaching principles, accessibility, and intelligent prop use, this training offers practical tools for creating group classes that are safer, more inclusive, and supportive without losing creativity or flow. You’ll explore how trauma shows up in the body and nervous system, and how subtle choices in language, sequencing, pacing, and class structure can foster autonomy, safety, and resilience. Through hands-on practice, discussion, and teaching labs, you’ll learn how to use props as skillful supports that expand access and possibility for every student in the room. This training emphasizes real-world application—how to teach mixed-level, mixed-ability classes; how to respond to injuries, chronic conditions, and how to design classes that adapt to the many seasons of life.
In this course, you will:
- Learn core principles of trauma-sensitive yoga and how to apply them in group settings
- Develop inclusive language and cueing that supports choice, agency, and self-trust
- Practice accessible sequencing strategies for mixed-level and all-bodies classes
- Explore creative, empowering prop use to support strength, mobility, rest, and regulation
- Gain tools for teaching students experiencing stress, injury, chronic pain, or life transitions
- Build confidence in holding diverse classrooms with clarity, compassion, and skill
Who this training is for:This workshop is ideal for yoga teachers who want to teach with greater confidence, sensitivity, and adaptability—whether you teach public classes, studios, gyms, community spaces, or specialized populations. It is especially valuable for teachers who want to expand their capacity to serve all bodies and all situations of life without watering down their teaching or overcomplicating their classes.Participants receive 10 hours of Continuing Education applicable toward Yoga Alliance CE requirements.
