Join National Gallery artist educators for a full-day professional learning program at Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Cultural Centre (GYRACC).
The program includes creative learning strategies for engaging with works from the national collection, with a focus on BOAB100 by Penny Archie, Jaru People.
This session will have a First Nations focus, sharing Art Through Culture, the National Gallery’s learning approach to First Nations art. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on their current practice and generate ideas to further embed Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander cultures and knowledge into their learning spaces.
National Gallery artist educators will also outline the Gallery's approaches to engaging with works of art through creative learning strategies. This approach is designed to support learners to make personal connections with works of art and share stories and ideas through an inquiry-led approach.
This session is open to early learning, primary, secondary and tertiary educators, and other youth and arts professionals.
A verifiable digital certificate will be delivered to each attendee with 5.5 continuing professional development (CPD) hours.
