In the remote NT town of Nhulunbuy, Queen Nwa and Revolution are rolling with the punches of chaotic, hilarious, and often overwhelming lives—as carers for their autistic sons.
Tired, stressed, and running on empty, these mums are juggling parenting, unpaid caring roles, and the slow creep of invisibility that comes with it all. It’s messy. It’s real. And it’s very, very funny.
The Hairy Marys finds humour in the dark moments, capturing the wild swing from laughter to tears and back again. Created by brilliant local creatives and starring Rarriwuy Hick and Heidi Arena, this watch party is your chance to experience a series that’s as confronting as it is hilarious.
