All people are welcome. It is age restricted to 13+ as it is a healing wānanga. Ngā mihi.
Te Whē is the resounding breath of Io, the reverberation of Creation itself resonating within all things, heard and unheard, seen and unseen. In Māori cosmology, Te Whē represents the vibrational force that brings everything into existence, it is the genealogical pattern of frequencies woven through all Creation, and it connects all whakapapa (genealogies) to Io, the universal source.
Grounded in tikanga (traditional customs), mātauranga (traditional wisdom) and kawa (traditional lore), this wānanga delves deep into the whakapapa of Te Whē, a deep exploration into the genealogies of sound and vibration, providing insights into the miracles of Creation.
Through guided practices, you’ll receive tools to awaken and align your pūmanawa (intuitive consciousness), your manawa (emotional consciousness), and whatumanawa (spiritual consciousness). This alignment connects us with the vibrational Breath of Io fostering release, peace, and the freedom to reconnect with your divine authentic self, unlocking an awareness to your natural gifts that are beyond physical talents.
Led by Mihirangi, a Tohunga and practitioner of Te Whē, and musician, and healer (see bio below). This wānanga will empower you to unlock your potential and harness the vibrational freedom that nurtures, heals, and inspires.

“E koekoe te Tūi, E ketekete te Kākā, E kūkū te Kererū.”
This whakataukī (Māori proverb) embodies the philosophy that every voice is unique, and every voice contributes. The Tūi is known for its melodic, complex song, the Kākā for its chattering calls and laughter, and the Kererū for its soft, cooing gentle and nurturing sound. Together, they create harmony in the forest. This reflects the ancestral philosophy that everyone's unique talents and perspectives contribute to our collective well-being.
Therefore, this wānanga is open to all people, Māori and non-Māori alike – Nau Mai Haere Mai... all are welcome.
