As part of our new river restoration strategy, Te Herenga Waka, Oranga Wai, Mahinga Kai, we are calling all whānau who are available, to support our very first river clean / working bee. As some of us may be aware, our awa is currently in bad shape, but as self-determined 'Kaitiaki Awa' we will start claiming back, cleaning and restoring the awa 1km at a time. As we will be working on or around the awa there will be quite a bit of coordination on the day to ensure everyone is safe.
