Welcome to Tarot & Clay, a unique creative sanctuary in London where the ancient wisdom of Tarot meets the tactile art of Ceramics.
In this 3-hour immersive workshop, you will not just read your fortune—you will build it. Guided by Yun Hsiu Lee, an expert Taiwanese potter and intuitive reader, you will learn to translate the ethereal messages of the cards into a tangible, permanent object using stoneware clay.
Whether you are looking for spiritual clarity, creative expression, or simply a peaceful weekend ritual away from the digital noise, this is your space to slow down.
The Experience: What to Expect
1. The Tea Ritual We begin by settling the mind with hot Jasmine tea and a collective Tarot reading to set the energy of the room. You will then pull your own personal card to reveal your "Element" for the day.
2. The Sorting Ceremony This is not a standard pottery class where you simply choose a shape from a menu. In this workshop, we surrender control to the cards. The Tarot card you pull—whether Water, Earth, Fire, or Air—will reveal the specific vessel form you are destined to make that day. You do not choose the object; the object chooses you.
3. The Making No pottery wheel is required. You will learn the ancient art of hand-building (pinch and coil techniques). Yun Hsiu will guide you through the technical process of shaping clay while helping you weave your intention into the walls of your vessel.
4. The Closing We finish with a traditional fortune treat (Pineapple Cake or Fortune Cookie) and a grounding meditation.
What is Included
- 3 Hours of Tuition: Bilingual instruction (English & Mandarin) from an expert ceramicist.
- All Materials: High-quality stoneware clay, tools, and glazes.
- Firing Service: We will slowly dry, glaze, and fire your piece twice in the kiln. It will be durable, food-safe, and ready for pickup in approximately 3–4 weeks.
- Immediate Takeaway: While your main piece is in the fire, you will leave the workshop with a custom "Tarot Prescription" card to keep your intention alive.
About Your Host
Yun Hsiu Lee (李昀修) is a Taiwanese ceramicist based in London. Her name, "Hsiu" (修), signifies spiritual cultivation. Growing up where the temple meets the tea house, she created Tarot & Clay to bridge the gap between the invisible (spirit) and the material (earth). She teaches that Tarot provides the map, but Clay builds the road.
Important Details
- Location: Hoxton, London (Exact studio address sent upon booking).
- Language: Taught in both English and Mandarin. Open to all language levels.
- Experience: Beginner-friendly. No previous pottery or tarot experience needed.
- Dress Code: Please wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty. Aprons are provided.
- Pickup: Fired works will be available for collection in Hoxton roughly 4 weeks after the event.

2. 元素分組儀式 這不是一堂普通的陶藝課，我們不提供固定的器型選單。在這個環節，我們將選擇權交給塔羅。您抽到的牌組元素（水、土、火、風）將揭示您當日註定要製作的器物形態。無需糾結選擇，讓命運為您指引最適合當下的能量容器。
3. 手捏陶藝教學 零基礎友好。不需要拉胚機，我們將使用最原始的手捏技法。昀修老師將全程雙語指導，教你如何將意念注入泥土，並親手刻上專屬印記。
4. 成品與伴手禮
- 您的作品： 完成後將由老師帶回工作室進行施釉和兩次高溫燒製 (約 3-4 週後領取)。
- 當日禮物： 您當天可帶走一張專屬的「塔羅處方卡」，讓這份療癒延續。

來自台灣，人如其名，「修」意指內在的修煉。她將東方陶藝的「定心」與西方塔羅的「指引」結合。她相信：塔羅給予意念，而陶土賦予容器。
