Join us for a powerful weekend of unity, education, and celebration as we honor World AIDS Day 2025 across Tampa Bay! Hosted by the Hillsborough County Planning Committee, this four-day series of community events is dedicated to raising awareness about HIV, promoting testing and prevention, celebrating resilience, and recognizing the incredible individuals and organizations leading the fight to end the HIV epidemic.

WAD Weekend Kickoff

We’re setting the tone for the weekend with an evening of inspiration, connection, and community. Join advocates, partners, and residents for the official kickoff event as we honor those we’ve lost, celebrate progress, and commit to a future free of HIV stigma. Expect live entertainment, light refreshments, and a tribute to local champions of change.
Paint the Town Red: HIV Testing Crawl

Experience Ybor City like never before — with purpose and pride! Our Paint the Town Red HIV Testing Crawl brings nightlife and health together for a cause. Visit participating bars and venues decked out in red lights, access free HIV testing and prevention materials, and enjoy giveaways, performances, and community connection. This event promotes awareness, encourages testing, and celebrates life in style.
Hope, Healing & Horizons: Solidarity Walk & Health Fair

Join us for a morning of movement, mindfulness, and motivation. The Solidarity Walk and Health Fair unite individuals, families, and organizations in a shared commitment to health equity and HIV prevention. Walk in solidarity to honor those impacted by HIV, explore health and wellness resources, and connect with community partners offering free screenings, education, and support.
Code Red Affair: A Day Party Event

We’re closing out the weekend with flair! The Code Red Affair is a high-energy day party that celebrates unity, resilience, and joy in the community. Enjoy music, dancing, food, and fun as we honor advocates and organizations leading the way in HIV prevention, awareness, and care. Red attire is encouraged!
❤️ PURPOSE & IMPACT
World AIDS Day Weekend is designed to:
- Increase HIV awareness and testing throughout Hillsborough County.
- Promote U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable) education and HIV prevention resources.
- Foster collaboration between local health departments, community organizations, and businesses.
- Create spaces for healing, empowerment, and celebration among those living with and affected by HIV.
Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire hope for a future without HIV stigma.
