We live in the most connected era in human history. We have more ways to reach each other than ever before. And yet—more of us feel alone.
Talk + Play returns to The Narrative LA on May 30th for a community-rooted conversation about social isolation: what it is, why it's growing, who it's hitting hardest, and what it actually looks like to build real connection in 2026.
, this gathering brings together community builders, mental wellness advocates, and relationship health experts for a discussion that goes beyond the statistics and into the lived experience.
Then we play.

ABOUT OUR PANELISTS:
is the founder of , a popular community-building platform launched in June 2023 to highlight Black-owned businesses, cultural events, and social gatherings in Los Angeles. Through TikTok, Instagram, and a Substack newsletter, she provides weekly curated lists to foster connection, joy, and community for Black residents and visitors.
is a wellness practitioner, meditation facilitator, community builder, and Programs Manager at —a wellness studio based in Inglewood dedicated to the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of Black people. Based in Compton, her work is guided by a deep belief that Black people deserve spaces of rest, restoration, and liberation. With over 15 years of experience in wellness, she remains committed to creating spaces where Black people are deeply seen, held, and celebrated in their wholeness.

is a creative studio and wellness venue nestled in the heart of Jefferson Park, Los Angeles—founded on the belief that storytelling isn’t just something we do, it’s who we are. It is a space where artists, educators, healers, chefs, and community builders gather with intention, and where every event becomes part of a larger story about connection, culture, and collective growth.
Founded by , The Narrative LA exists to amplify local voices and make creativity accessible—transforming gatherings into moments of reflection, release, and belonging. It is the kind of space that doesn't just host events. It helps people tell their stories.
