About this Event
Tompkins Corners will present Take Our Words For It, a collection of short plays written by the women of Westchester exploring loss, infertility, the objectification of women, pageants, and refugees - in the unmistakable voice of women who’ve been there.

SIGHT UNSEEN by Lori Myers. A man brings in a friend to act as a wingman trying to pick up a woman at a bar.
NOT HIS TYPE by Misha Sinclair. A woman tries to process what it means when a man tells her she’s not his type.
HIS FIRST ENGLISH WORDS by Tara Meddaugh (from The Victory Garden Plays). During WW II, a woman takes in and tries to connect to a refugee boy from Germany.
THE DINNER PARTY by Tara Meddaugh (from The Victory Garden Plays) A couple struggles with learning that the wife is infertile.
THERE SHE IS… by Kathy Rossetter. A former beauty queen instructs some aspiring young women on how to handle beauty pageants – and how they’ll be handled.
DOG GONE by Carol Mark. Two dogs go missing when their owner leaves the screen door ajar, but a third stays behind.
Produced by GoJo Clan Productions, the plays will feature local actors and are directed by local directors, almost all of whom are also women, highlighting the rich talent within our local community.
GoJo Clan Productions is a small theater company run by Albi Gorn and Robin Anne Joseph in Westchester County.
