Tacoma Day of Yoga

2025 marked a monumental milestone when the City of Tacoma officially proclaimed June 21 as Tacoma Day of yoga.

This year, several organizations will collaborate to offer the community a fantastic event: Silver Linings Integrative Health, LLC , W. W. Seymour Conservatory and Simply Hot Yoga.

Join us for a rejuvenating day of yoga at the W.W. Seymour Conservatory at Wright Park. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or just starting out, this event is for everyone. Enjoy a variety of classes led by experienced instructors in a beautiful outdoor setting. Connect with compassionate and passionate people and celebrate the practice of yoga together. Please arrive just as you are. No need to bring any tools outside of the tools you have in your body. If you'd like, you can bring a mat or a blanket, water bottle, and positive energy. If you do not have any of these, you are welcome to attend. Please come play.

Breathe in the fresh air and find your inner self as you practice various styles of yoga while immersed in and surrounded by lush greenery. This in-person outdoor event is the perfect opportunity to connect with your mind-body-soul in a serene outdoor setting.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi (we are all beginners), our community of friendly and knowledgable instructors will offer particulars suitable for everyone.

This event truly is for everyone in the community, regardless of ability to pay in dollars. What is most important to us is that if you want to explore yoga you can. Please, join us. Also, any donation amount is welcomed. For those who are able to, a donation amount of $25 is welcomed. Maybe this feels like too little of an amount for you, and you want to donate $999,999.00 (more than this and taxes get awkward). Or, maybe you want to donate $19. Great, we will gladly welcome this and you. Our arms are stretched open and welcome you whether you pay or not. Just come play.

All collected donations are split equally among the instructional team.

Just like last year, we have fantastic t-shirts printed with the logo designed by AYUSH Ministries Government of India.

You can also order a t-shirt on the day of the event for later pick up at the Conservatory.

After 12:05 the official program ends and you are free to mingle with other attendees, visit the conservatory and beautiful gift shop, try snacks and visit with instructors

Common Yoga Protocol @ Wag Pet Market in Proctor (2616 N. Proctor). You might also consider practicing yoga with a dog, in which case treats will be helpful. You are sure to find delicious ones here.

Gyana Yoga @ King's Books (218 St. Helens). Gyana is Sanskrit for knowledge. This path of yoga is about devotion to learning and expanding one's knowledge. Check out the fantastic display of books at King's Books.
