LIME & WHINE: Fundraiser Edition 🇯🇲
Our first Lime & Whine is a special edition; it is a lime with a cause. We are using this time to fundraise for our LGBTQ+ Jamaican family affected by Hurricane Melissa!
Join us for an intimate queer Caribbean lime, bringing people together through music, community, and joy.
Why fundraise for LGBTQ+ Jamaicans?
Community is essential to us. As a LGBTQ+ Caribbean London-Based event, we believe in showing up for our people - here and across the Caribbean.
Jamaica is so dear to many of us, whether through birth, heritage or a love of Jamaican food and culture. In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, Trans and queer Jamaicans have been hit especially hard, often with fewer resources and support to fall back on.
This fundraiser is about standing with our community, helping people get back on their feet, and sharing what we can - together!
Who is the money going to?
All tickets purchased, minus service fees, will go directly to Connek JA Hurricane Melissa Relief Fund, supporting LGBTQ+ Jamaicans affected by the hurricane.
Connek JA is a grassroots organisation and resource centre that connects queer Caribbean people in Jamaica, in the U.S. and throughout the diaspora. Connek JA fosters a sense of belonging and inclusion through programming, offers financial and educational information, and advocates for changes in policy for the queer community in Jamaica and beyond.
As of November 2025, Connek JA have raised and distributed $8,540 USD in zero-barrier mutual aid to 61 trans and queer people across Jamaica. Every dollar went directly to someone navigating displacement, loss, and instability - helping them secure food, shelter, transportation, medicine, and the basic safety needed to rebuild.
Lime & Whine - What to Expect:

💛 A chance to connect, unwind, and give back - together
This is not a fete... it’s a lime. Come as you are, bring your friends, and be part of something meaningful.
