TAAN X BARANG at TXA TXA CLUB
Join us for one special intimate night, a collaboration and celebration of Thai and Cambodian cuisine brought to you by Chicago's incoming Thai restaurant TAAN and one of London's most talked about restaurants BARANG.
This 5-course menu presented family-style will take you on a journey to Southeast Asia, exploring lesser known Thai/Khmer dishes presented with a Midwest twist. Wine pairing and beverage options available upon arrival.
Due to the nature of this event, we regrettably won't be able to accommodate for severe allergies and dietary requirements.
All ticket sales are final; transfers allowed.
About the chefs:
Tom Geoffrey (UK)
Since launching BARANG in 2023, Tom has cooked both internationally & around the UK, showcasing his dishes via many sell out pop-ups & residencies. This includes sell-out runs at popular London restaurants such as Carousel, Oranj, Mambow and Hill & Szrok. Outside of the UK, Tom has taken over kitchens in Bangkok (Chenin), New York (Winona’s) and has now appeared two years in a row at Holy Smoke BBQ’s annual Heyday event (Sweden) which features a line-up of the most acclaimed live fire & BBQ chefs in the world.
Barang is currently enjoying a hugely successful residency in Borough Market, London before moving to its first permenant restaurant site in central London this summer.
Chanita Chayaluk
A native Chicagoan, Chanita left her career in counseling/ higher education to pursue a Thai cuisine diploma in Bangkok where she explored regional, royal, and modern recipes. She frequently between Thailand and Chicago to deepen her knowledge in Thai cuisine. Since coming back from her culinary program, Chanita showcased her cooking in Chicago and overseas. Her goal is to teach Chicagoans how to properly indulge Thai food. Her restaurant/wine bar, TAAN, is coming soon to Humbodlt Park this summer!
