About the Book
'A Guardian and a Thief 'by Megha Majumdar is a tense, near-future thriller set in a climate-ravaged Kolkata, where a mother, "Ma" desperately hunts for her stolen immigration documents to escape famine. The story explores survival, maternal love, and moral ambiguity as it follows both Ma’s struggle and the thief, Boomba, who is driven by desperation to care for his own family.
