Studio Silo and Smekkleysa present something sonically obnoxious/glorious for those who wish to grow their hearts fonder of the louder things in life, as well as further developing their tinnitus and poor hairstyle influenza. 2000 kr grants you entry to the spectacle, and the show starts at 20:00 sharp.Opening up the evening with an intense yet blissful Emoish Punk Rock onslaught shall be Akranes outfit Snowed In. Snowed In has released 3 EP’s and 1 full length, their most recent release being “A Blazed Northern Guy”. No fun allowed, only sad.
Followed swiftly by Strákurinn Fákurinn, hailing from Akureyri, it is the band project of solo Artist Drengurinn Fengurinn. Strákurinn fákurinn recently recorded their first proper album in Silo Studio which has yet to be released but will be any day now according to their spokeperson. Intellectuals and academics describe their music as "Manic Pixie No Wave".
Next up are Tjaldvagn, previously mostly unknown as Vinny Vamos & his band, originating from the East Fjords yet now mostly based in Kópavogur. They release their first E.P. this very night, on vinyl and cassette in limited handmade quantities. Simple Punk-inspired guitar music with a hint of 90s quirk-indie and a story to tell, rather loud.
And to close the night are garage-rock duo Dead Raze from Liverpool, UK. With one album and a bunch of singles under their belt as well as regular touring up and down the UK mainland, they are quite the incendiary pair with a kick-in-the-guts kind of performance delivery. With just 4 feet, 4 hands and a mouth they certainly do make quite the racket, forcing even the most fearful of decibel dictators to retreat to their beds.
