About this Event
"Szalony, Zielony Bez" is a musical about a woman from Warsaw who, in search of freedom and her dreams, embarks on an adventurous journey into the unknown. Her colourful story unfolds between the realities of the capitalist West and the grey, yet humorous, communist Poland.
The performance blends iconic songs by Agnieszka Osiecka with fragments from her diaries, interviews and anecdotes from her book Szpetni Czterdziestoletni (The Ugly Forty-Somethings). On stage, you'll hear fresh interpretations of Polish classics like 'Dama być,' 'Nie ma jak pompa,' and 'Na zakręcie,' among many others.
After the performance, stay for a 30-minute workshop where the audience can share their favourite works by Agnieszka Osiecka. Together, we’ll explore and celebrate her lasting legacy.
