Fasten Your Seatbelts: Synesthesia Takes Audiences on a Sensory Journey Through Neurodivergence and the mind Prepare for departure with LuneAseas, a grassroots performance company, as they present Synesthesia, an immersive performance created in partnership with WellPower, Denver’s community mental health center. This one-of-a-kind experience invites audiences to board a flight of imagination, exploring the shifting landscapes of the human mind through movement, music, and interactive art.
Created by Rita Corey and expanded with input from participants in LuneAseas’ Troupe Therapy workshops, Synesthesia places lived experience at the heart of the journey. The production charts a course through mania, depression, and recovery—navigating the turbulence of stigma while seeking the horizon of hope and self-acceptance. Along the way, passengers (audience members) will encounter ballet dancers from Soda Shop Contemporary Dance, breakers from Experiments in Rhythm and Subliminal Motion, and music from Spirit of Grace.
