IMPROV PERFORMANCE INTENSIVEYou've taken several levels of classes and now want to put your improv chops to the test. In this class, we'll dive into structuring a narrative improv show, researching and adapting a genre, and bringing powerful relationships to the forefront of our performance. This class provides an opportunity to experience the rehearsal process for performing a one act improvised play, culminating with a free performance for an invited audience of your friends, fans and family-members on the last day of class!
Each class session will focus on a different genre. See below for the show we'll be rehearsing and a brief blurb:
September-October Class
Improvised Slasher: A Spontaneous Camp Horror. A weekend getaway at a secluded lakeside cabin turns into a gruesome nightmare as a group of pals are hunted and picked off one by one by an insane psycho maniac!
Taught by Griffen Bier
Griffen has been performing with Synergy Theater since 2018. His directorial debut, Adventure Serial!, based on globe-trotting adventure films, was a hit with audiences back in Jan 2024. He is currently preparing to direct his next Synergy show, Improvised Clue, based on the cult-classic film, coming to the Lesher Center in April 2026.
