About this Event
So… you have an idea. Or five. But how do you know if any of them are actually worth your time?
How to Spot a Good Idea is a fast-paced, practical workshop that helps you figure out what makes an idea promising — and what might make it fall flat. You’ll learn how to evaluate ideas using the three core filters of evidence-based entrepreneurship: desirability, feasibility, and viability.
In this 2-hour session, you’ll:
- Learn a simple, powerful framework for evaluating early-stage ideas
- Workshop your own idea (or someone else’s!) using real-world criteria
- Spot red flags, discover bright spots, and make smarter decisions about what to pursue
- Eat yummy dinner
- Leave with clarity — and a few ways to make your idea even stronger
Whether you’re in love with your idea, doubting it, or just exploring options, this workshop will sharpen your thinking and help you take your next step with confidence.
Who should come?
- Students with early-stage ideas (or lots of them)
- Curious entrepreneurs testing what’s possible
- Anyone in the TEST track of Start Something F2025 — or thinking about joining
