About this Event
English country dancing and it's cousin Scottish country dancing are social dances that were developed in the middle ages. The first English dancing manual was published in 1651 with steps and the tunes they were written for. Danced in long lines or circles, with couples moving up or down the line or as mixers, there's no need to bring a partner since you'll be dancing with a different person every time.
Our dances are attended by kids, highschoolers, parents, college kids, and seniors. It's a great way to connect with a community with interests in dance, music, history, and traditional cultures.
No dance experience is required on Family Nights, however it is recommended for Workshop Nights.
