This month we're exploring the fine art of Switching (when who is leading and who is following changes mid-dance). This is a wonderful way to really build a beautiful two-way conversation with your partner, explore your musicality, improve your technique and most of all have fun!On Tuesday 7 April we're running an all-levels Everybody Lead, Everybody Follow class which is a great way to try out this concept in a fun, low stress way. If you're keen to learn more, then come to our Intermediate Switching class on 28 April where we'll learn some more fancy ways to switch roles, fine tune our technique, talk about switching etiquette and have loads of time to practice and have some giggles.
For this class we suggest that you do some beginner level classes in your non-usual role throughout the month to try out the basic footwork and a few moves. You don't need to be intermediate level in both roles - just as long as you have some familiarity with both roles and are up for a bit of a challenge, you will be fine.
