About this Event
This course is for high school students who want to build their own Apple app and submit it to the Swift Student Challenge.
Across three hands‑on sessions, students will:
- Explore the basics of app design and development for iPhone, iPad, or Mac
- Get guided support to turn an idea into a working Swift Playgrounds or Xcode project
- Learn what makes a strong Swift Student Challenge submission and how to present their work
This mentorship is designed for students who are serious about pursuing programming beyond a one‑off holiday course and want to take the next step in Apple platforms development.
Age: 13+ / Year 7+
Requirements: Students must be aiming to submit an app to the Swift Student Challenge, and bring either a MacBook with Xcode installed or an iPad with the latest version of Swift Playgrounds installed, plus charger. Xcode and Swift Playgrounds can both be downloaded for free from the App Store on Mac or iPad.
