Participants will gain an understanding of the history of Sweetgrass and Gullah Geechee culture, including an explanation of the materials and tools utilized and their significance. Subsequently, attendees will receive instruction on basket weaving techniques, benefiting from hands-on assistance and live demonstrations. The session will conclude with a dedicated period for questions and information regarding future workshops.
The investment for this which includes all necessary materials and expert instruction. Participants will retain the Sweetgrass basket.

Each student will be provided with a 3-inch starter of sweetgrass, pine needles, and palm fronds to facilitate the creation of their individual masterpiece. A representative example of the basket style is provided.
