Welcome to our annual Swedish Holiday Market hosted by Swedish Women's Educational Association DC in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden.

Welcome to our annual Swedish Holiday Market on December 6, 2025 from 10 AM – 5 PM at the House of Sweden, Georgetown. The event is hosted by the Swedish Women’s Educational Association in DC (SWEA DC) in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden.

Join us and immerse yourself in the festive Nordic yuletide atmosphere! Explore a vibrant array of Nordic arts and crafts, Swedish glass, books, as well as delicious Scandinavian delicacies and treats, and some delightful performances by our folklore musicians, Washington Spelmanslag. Whether you seek to purchase holiday gifts or simply enjoy Scandinavian delicacies, this holiday market is the ideal destination this season. It's the perfect place to find unique holiday gifts and create cherished memories with family and friends. The festivities will culminate with the beloved Swedish tradition of a Lucia Choir Procession at 5 PM beginning outside of the Embassy of Sweden.

TIMES

10 AM - 12 PM -- VIP HOURS $17/person

This time slot is limited to 400 tickets offering attendees firsthand glance at the market.

VIP attendees are offered free FIKA and/or Mulled Cider, as well as a Free Raffle with Prizes with ticket.

Two rounds of Raffle Announcement; 10:45 AM and 11:45 AM

12 PM-4 PM GENERAL ADMISSION - $12/person PLEASE NOTE: THE MARKET ENDS AT 5 PM BUT LAST ADMISSION IS AT 4 PM.

Free FIKA with ticket.

5 PM TRADITIONAL SWEDISH LUCIA PROCESSION OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING.

This performance is free and all are welcome.

TICKETS

• We offer VIP HOUR Tickets as well as General Admission Tickets.
• Tickets are digital and you will receive an email confirmation.
• Provide your digital ticket or printed copy at the door.
• Children 12 years old and under enter for FREE and do not require a ticket.
• There will be NO ENTRY permitted without a ticket.

SECURITY & ENTRY GUIDELINES

• There will be NO access to the building after 4 PM as we have to begin clearing the building for the ensuing Lucia procession.
• We will have a list of the prepaid ticket holders and will check you off at the entrance
• Bring a valid ID to enter the event
• All attendees must go through security and metal detectors
• Keep your bags and purses to a minimum for faster entry
• We have no physical ticket sales at the door. However, you may purchase a ticket at the door via Eventbrite IF tickets are still available
• Designated parking for strollers is available on-site
• There is NO REFUND on the tickets
• The event will be held, rain or shine
