Swamis Vibe is a full-length docu-musical film celebrating the spirit, culture, and community of the iconic Swamis Reef Surf Park in Encinitas, California. Directed by Stuart Edmondson and hosted by Hall of Fame songwriter Jack Tempchin, the film blends documentary storytelling, live musical performances, and breathtaking coastal cinematography captured over more than 20 years.
With nonstop surfing action, golden sunsets, and an original soundtrack by Tempchin—ranging from 1970s acoustic “raga” guitar recordings to newly created AI-assisted compositions—Swamis Vibe offers a flowing audiovisual experience that reflects the soul of Swamis Beach. The film also carries a subtle spiritual thread inspired by the Self-Realization Fellowship and Paramahansa Yogananda who owns the park.
SV was filmed at one of Southern California's most beautiful surf breaks SWAMIS Reef Surf Park to premier March 28 at the iconic La Paloma Theater in Encinitas.
