About this Event
Help shape the future language of sustainable fashion. Join a hands-on research workshop exploring what sustainability really means.
Are you interested in sustainability or fashion, or both?
If you are 18 or over, come and take part in an interactive educational workshop exploring how we talk about sustainable fashion.
We will look at the words brands and organisations use and examine definitions through a match the term game. Together, we will unpack how these terms shape our understanding of sustainability and imagine clearer, more meaningful ways to describe it.
This 90 minute workshop is led by Claire Dawson, a PhD researcher at the University of Brighton, studying circular fashion models. Your insights will contribute to her research on sustainable fashion marketing, helping to shape how brands communicate more clearly and authentically with consumers.
As part of the research, you will be asked to sign a consent form on the day. The session will be audio and video recorded for transcription only. All recordings will remain confidential and will not be published. The anonymised data may be included in Claire’s PhD thesis, journal articles, case studies, or other academic publications.
Part of the Reuse and Repair Fair, hosted by Artillery Arts and London Borough of Waltham Forest Council.
