It discusses the agent of disease, prevalence, geography, and transmission of leptospirosis—the risk factors of leptospirosis will be addressed by species and environment. Clinical presentation of the disease in dogs, testing, and treatment will also
be discussed. Using AAHA guidelines, canine vaccination recommendations for leptospirosis are outlined, along with other risk-mitigating factors.
