About this Event
Children & Youth Wellbeing in the Digital Era
Sharing Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategies among Carers
This free event aims to create an open, welcoming space for carers in which to discuss research on screen time and participants' own experiences navigating digital device use among children, tweens, and teens in their lives.
The morning will open with a presentation by Dr. Chia Liu on current research in this area, followed by interactive participatory activities. After refreshments, there will be an open discussion among participants, facilitated by Dr. Mary Freedman, to focus on sharing experiences and strategies.
Take-home material will be provided, synthesising the presentation and including links to expert-guided best practices. We hope this will be a positive space to meet and discuss the fast-changing digital landscape in which young people are growing up and how educators and family members can best support them.
