About this Event
The day will be divided into three sessions - please select the option you wish to attend:
09.30-12.30: Workshop for professionals who are working with and supporting individuals and families who have dementia.
Come and learn more about the WhatMattersToYou movement and the impact of listening and kindness amongst colleagues as well as on the people social care colleagues engage with on a daily basis. This workshop will enable you to explore what person centred practice might look like across different teams and care settings. Together we will focus on how we can create more compassionate, supportive, and human-centred environments—whether we are delivering or receiving care, advice, or support.
Afternoon session:
13.30-14.30 Or 15.00-16.00 (same session repeated) For private and voluntary organisations and the public who would like to learn more from Tommy’s lived experience of caring for his mother Joan during their dementia journey. At the heart of Tommy’s work is the power of asking ‘What Matters to You?’ and the difference it makes when we listen to learn.
