About this Event
Supper in Solidarity is a communial meal, bringing together supporters of , with members of our community to share food, stories and connection, whilst raising funds for the essential services we deliver.
This is a dinner where the food truly takes centre stage. Chef Doug Rolle, of Sohaila and formerly of Brawn, will be leading the kitchen, bringing his signature style and experience to a menu rooted in Lebanese flavours and shaped by the cultures and stories of our community.
What makes this evening special is how the food is created. Doug will be cooking alongside people who are part of Islington Centre, sharing skills, stories, and recipes. It is food made together, by people rebuilding their lives here in London, and served in solidarity with others on that journey.
At a time when the world can feel increasingly uncertain, this evening is about choosing connection. Sitting side by side, sharing generous plates, and recognising the power of food to bring people together.
Whether you come with friends or on your own, you will be welcomed into a warm, inclusive space where conversation flows as easily as the food.
What to Expect
- A two-course, family-style meal (main and dessert)
- Dishes inspired by Lebanese cuisine, with influences from the home countries of our community
- Food prepared by chef Doug Rolle (Sohaila restaurant in Shoreditch) alongside members of our community
- Fresh salads served alongside the meal
- Tea and coffee to finish
- Soft drinks included
- Wine and beer available to purchase
- Stories shared by members of our community
Everything is served on long, communal tables to encourage conversation, connection, and a shared experience.
