About your trainers:

Jack Narbed

Growing up in South Wales, Jack lived very close to a wood. Coupled with a lively imagination, this place could transform into any world he wanted it to be. Since, his life decisions have been informed by what allows him to be outside the most. He works to create environments in which others can enjoy this experience.

He has worked with communities across London, making environments softer and greener, including in prisons, schools, housing estates and sheltered accommodation. Jack specialises in community facilitation; bringing together groups of people to co-create a shared vision and map of how to achieve it. A teacher at heart, sharing skills and knowledge is embedded in his practice.

Malaika Bain-Peachey

Malaika volunteered at a southeast London community garden which led her to enrol in a Permaculture Design Course in Dartmoor. There, her life completely changed, as she met incredible people who were not only students but teachers in their own right, with unique life experiences. Volunteering for organisations in the U.S. focused on food security have shaped her appreciation for projects that bolster food, community, and food growing in urban spaces. She completed an apprenticeship at Capel Manor College as well as an RHS course and worked for a London-based garden design & maintenance company for a few years. The skills and knowledge gained there were invaluable and Malaika is always excited to share this knowledge with others. She is even more excited by the fact that you never stop learning when it comes to plants and nature.
