Our Semi-Annual Super Thrift Sale is BACK! Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 25th, 2026 from 9AM to 1 PM. 🗓️
Proceeds of the Sale help Calgarians in need! We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization with ZERO overhead. We are dedicated to providing short term assistance across Calgary and been serving Calgarians for over 115 years!
The Samaritan Club of Calgary is an “agency of last resort”. Social workers will reach out to us for short term assistance for their clients for things such as:
🔵 Emergency food vouchers when the wait to get into the Food Bank is over 3 weeks and there is nothing left in the fridge.
🔵 Special funding for aids to daily living, after exhausting all other options.
🔵 Baby bundles filled with diapers, onesies, mitts and hats for families who have no means to get the essentials for their newborn.
We have a few other core programs dedicated to serving Calgarians. Our services are available only by referral through social workers and other community support agencies.

About the Super Thrift Sale:
❓How does it work?
We collect donated goods from our members and their friends & families in a short donation window. We quickly sort all donated items in a day and run the Sale for 4 hours the next day.
❓Who should come to the Sale?
This Sale is for EVERYONE! Whether you’re a thrifter, a university student, an antique dealer, or a regular person looking for some good deals on clothes, toys, household goods and more, this sale is for YOU!

❓What do I need to bring?
💰This is a CASH only sale! Remember to bring lots of reusable bags and cash!
⭐️TIP: Bring lots of smaller bags in addition to larger ones. Each department is its own section and you will have to cash out at each department before moving on to the next. A volunteer will collect your cash and tie off your items/bag with special tape to show proof of purchase. Consider donating your spare coins! Every cent counts and helps us serve more Calgarians in need.
❓Other important things to know?
🚗 Only street parking is available the day of the Sale. We reserve the Community Association parking lot for our volunteers.
🚪The doors open at 9 AM, but many of our returning shoppers line up earlier. Some even bring camping chairs to sit in while in line before the Sale starts. Some of our shoppers have been coming back to the sale for over 30 years.
🌭 Fuel up at our concession stand. We will have small snacks and drinks available for purchase.
🛍️ Too many bags? We offer a “Parcel Pickup” where we’ll look after your other purchases so you can keep shopping without having to go back to your car.
