About this Event
Explore the people, groups, environment and geography that made Miami so unique for development in the 1920s.
This program focuses on Miami and South Florida in a very specific moment in time: 1926. Natural and man-made disasters combined that year and brought a growing metropolis to the edge of ruin. An old Miami was wrecked in 1926, but the seeds for the megalopolis known today were planted. Mr. Matthew Bunch guides audiences through the culture, civic life, challenges, and opportunities faced by Miamians in the significant year.
