About this Event

This Photography Walk & Talk class is designed as an expansion of the Intro to Photography course, offering students the opportunity to put their skills into practice in a real-world setting. Held at Coolidge Park and Renaissance Park, this guided photo walk focuses on applying camera fundamentals while exploring landscape and sunset photography.

Participants will practice working with natural light, composition, and exposure as the sun sets, with special attention given to photographing the Walnut Street Bridge. Instruction will be conversational and hands-on, allowing students to ask questions, experiment with settings, and receive guidance while shooting.

This class emphasizes learning through movement, observation, and practice, encouraging students to slow down and see familiar spaces with fresh perspective. It is ideal for those who have completed the Intro to Photography class or have a basic understanding of their camera and want to build confidence photographing outdoor scenes and changing light.

Students are encouraged to bring their own camera. This class will involve walking and standing outdoors for the duration of the session.
