Observed globally each year, World Environment Day is a reminder of our shared responsibility to care for the Earth and protect the ecosystems that sustain all life. It is a day dedicated to reconnecting with nature, inspiring environmental awareness, and celebrating the beauty and resilience of our planet.
Nestled within a historic subtropical forest in South Miami-Dade, Patch of Heaven Sanctuary is a nonprofit nature sanctuary dedicated to reconnecting people with Mother Nature through conservation, education, mindfulness, and immersive experiences in the natural world. Home to towering trees, pollinator gardens, wildlife habitats, and restorative green spaces, Patch serves as a living reminder of the healing power of nature and the importance of protecting it for future generations.
As the sun sets over the sanctuary, guests are invited to slow down and immerse themselves in an evening designed to inspire reflection, connection, and care for the Earth. The experience will begin with a guided meditation surrounded by nature, followed by a special outdoor movie screening under the stars featuring a film inspired by our relationship with the environment.
