Get ready to kick off gay summer 2026 with Theta Project’s Summer Sunday Social! We’re thrilled to launch a monthly Sunday session bringing together our beautiful LGBTQIA+ community at the perfect indoor/outdoor venue, Longroom, in Auckland’s fabulous Ponsonby.
Starting Sunday 18 January 2026, join us every month from 3–7pm for the ultimate Sunday Session vibes. Free entry from 3–3:30pm.
Here’s what’s in store:
Longroom is the ultimate day-party and Sunday Session hotspot, and our chosen venue. We’re moving the DJ booth and sound system outdoors to the venue’s front courtyard, creating endless seating and seamless indoor/outdoor flow. With a covered courtyard, we’re set to party rain or shine ☔️☀️
🪩The best summer, vocal, camp, feel-good house music from our top DJs
🪩A designated “Social Lubricator” — aka a Drag Queen host — to help you mix, mingle, and meet new faces
🪩Drink, bottle, and food specials all afternoon
The best part? Free entry!
From 3–3:30 pm, enjoy complimentary entry. After that, it’s $15 at the door, which includes a hand-picked bubbly or cocktail.
And don’t forget — drag artists in full drag receive free entry to all our events this summer.

The Summer Sunday Social takes over the entire venue. We feel incredibly lucky to have a venue open just for us on these Sundays, so mark your calendar, bring your friends, and come support Auckland’s biggest LGBTQIA+ social club.
