Burgh House presents Sunday Sounds, our recital series showcasing emerging musicians.
Winnie Ng is an American pianist hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She began piano lessons at age six and continued her musical studies at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where she received her Bachelors degree with highest honors studying with Evelyne Brancart and Edward Auer. As a solo and a chamber pianist, she has performed at Auer Hall at Indiana University, the Orford Music Festival in Quebec, Acqui Terme in Italy, Milton Court in London, and at Lavethan in Cornwall. Winnie has also had the privilege of receiving coaching and masterclasses from musicians such as Michelle Cann, Louise Hopkins, Arthur Greene, Ralf Gothoni, Peter Nagy, Nelita True, Martin Roscoe, Noriko Ogawa, Christopher Harding, Krysia Osostowicz, Alisdair Beatson, and Caroline Palmer. She is currently in her second year Masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Ronan O’Hora and Laura Roberts. Alongside her solo studies and performances, she performs in her trio Claviono, with clarinetist Sofia Mekhonoshina and violist Sean Lee, as well as in a duo with cellist Jack Moyer.
